I joined the cooking
club on Sept 15 to Dec 8. This was a little bit stressful to me because there
were mean boys whom I was supervising. They don’t listen to me and they are just
playing by roaming around the area. I couldn’t control them until a teacher
told them to stop running and that they would be kicked out from the club.
Luckily, they followed her. At that time, I felt thankful to the teacher. She
doesn’t know how important her action is to me. If she hadn’t done that, it
would have resulted to an accident and it could be my fault because I was the one
in-charge of taking care of the kids. I realized I’m still a lucky person to
get help from the teacher. This activity made me realize I should be more responsible
in supervising kids and at the same time, I learned a new skill in cooking. We made spaghetti and baked cookies, which was my favorite part of the activity. This activity taught me to be patient and keep my cool during very stressful times. It was a new challenge for me to deal with children and cook, but I learned to be committed to my duty and persevere until I was able to learn something new in cooking, which I can someday share to my family and friends.
